Questions & Answers About HALO

What are the benefis of HALO that set it apart from other lasers?

  • Precise control
  • Minimal downtime
  • Faster healing of treated areas
  • Truly customized treatment plan for superior results

How does HALO work?

The ablative wavelengths remove the damaged top layer of skin that may appear as sun damage and wrinkles. Only a fraction of the skin is removed (also known as fractional) causing the collagen fibers to shrink and form a tight new layer of skin as the body heals.

The non-ablative infrared wavelengths heat the skin and create microchannels. These small microscopic wounds initiate the body’s natural healing process and stimulate collagen production.

This dual approach allows us to address multiple skin concerns at once and to harness Halo’s benefits of skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime.

Will I feel the laser treatment?

Treatment areas will be numbed before the procedure with a topical freezing cream to ensure your comfort. Most patients tolerate the laser treatment quite well.

How long is the treatment?

The treatment itself can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour depending on your rejuvenation plan.

What is the required downtime?

Downtime will depend on the depth of the required treatment. Most people will take 24-48 hours before they feel comfortable going out, although for superficial treatments, there is no downtime required. You will be able to return to your daily routine with proper skin protection within 24 hours. Applying moisturizer and sunscreen is a must to keep the skin well hydrated and protected. Makeup may be applied after 24 hours to cover redness.

How many treatments are needed?

Once the healing process is complete, you will see glowing radiant skin after a single treatment. Additional treatments offer enhanced, cumulative results.

What is the treatment cost?

Halo pricing in Toronto starts at $1,800.

We offer loyalty and package pricing for all of our aesthetic treatments.
