:: Facial Aesthetics
One of the fastest growing areas of cosmetic plastic surgery is in the field of non-surgical skin rejuvenation utilizing Botox®, injectable dermal fillers, laser resurfacing and skin tightening technologies.
Injection treatments have the advantage of being a relatively simple in-office procedure with very minimal recovery and downtime. In selected patients, injections can improve appearance by decreasing wrinkles, filling unwanted folds or augmenting structures, such as your lips or cheekbones. Topical treatments to improve the pigmentation or texture of your skin may be recommended as part of your treatment plan.
It is important to select the person that will perform your treatments very carefully. The outcomes that are achieved are quite technique dependent.
At the office of Dr. Mitchell Brown, injections and other non surgical treatments are performed by Tracey Hotta, RN, BScN, CPSN. Tracey is an aesthetic nurse specialist and nursing coordinator for Dr. Brown. Tracey has over 14 years of experience as a nurse injector of Botox and dermal fillers and is often invited to lecture nurses, physicians and surgeons on the latest techniques in non-surgical services.
Named top collagen injector in the Ontario Region 3 years in a row, Tracey has also received the Award of Excellence as one of the top five Collagen Nurse Injectors in Canada and is known as one of Canada's most experienced injectors. Her expertise has led her to conduct numerous presentations across North America, publish articles for Western Schools in Boston, The Plastic Surgical Nursing Journal and editor of the Plastic Surgical Nursing Core Curriculum.
