Botox®, is a Health Canada approved protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacteria. Used safely in medical applications for over twenty years, Botox treatments relax the facial muscles that create wrinkles, frown lines, laugh lines, and crow’s feet. A small amount is injected right into these muscles, causing lines to disappear or diminish dramatically.
After the initial consultation, the Botox® treatment only takes approximately 15 minutes. Since there is no downtime, you can do it on your lunchtime and no one will know that you had it done. The results of the Botox® treatment is not seen immediately and may take up to 2 weeks to see the final effect. Botox Cosmetic® is not permanent. It lasts between 3-4 months on average but everyone is different.

Botox can be used by almost anyone. However, patients who are pregnant or breast-feeding are not appropriate candidates. Botulinum toxin treatments are also contraindicated for those who have a history of any neuromuscular disorders such as Eaton Lamperts Disease and Myasthenia Gravis.
