Our Practice

Our Approach

Perhaps the most important step in deciding if cosmetic surgery is right for you is to become well informed about the procedure and to carefully examine your goals and expectations. Our approach is to recognize that every patient is a unique individual with unique concerns. There is no single approach to a cosmetic procedure that is right for every person. Dr. Brown will customize the surgery to each individual in order to try to meet your personal goals. Whenever possible, Dr. Brown will strive for a natural outcome that compliments your age, body style and frame.  Dr. Brown and the staff believe that you should never feel rushed when considering surgery. We want our patients to know that their questions were thoughtfully addressed and encourage them to return to the office for further appointments until they are completely comfortable with their decision to proceed with surgery. From the time of your first consultation, through to your surgery and eventually to your final follow-up visit, you will find Dr. Brown and the office staff open, accessible and committed to making your experience with us pleasant and positive.

The Consultation

The consultation provides an opportunity for you to explain to your doctor the specific issues that concern you and for you to begin to become educated about the surgical options available. The consultation also provides an opportunity for you to ensure that you are comfortable with and confident in the surgeon and for the surgeon to determine if you are a good candidate for cosmetic surgery. For example, we will evaluate your general health and explain which surgical approaches are best suited for you, fully disclosing the benefits as well as the risks and potential complications involved. This will allow you to make a well-informed decision as to whether or not surgery is in your best interest. Prior to your appointment, it is a good idea to prepare a list of questions relating to credentials and the surgery itself. We encourage you to attend the consultation with your spouse or significant other, as their input and opinions may prove valuable. After the consultation, you will be encouraged to follow-up with any subsequent questions.
